Julitta got mad at Bert because he had tried to kiss her at the PUB. Poor Robert was very sad. On the other hand, Julitta was moving on. She was invited for a party at Alistaire's house.
The man was wealthy and that pleased Julitta a lot. She had that snobbish attitute and the desire to have an easy life. However, right now, she still lived in the Bayou with Robert and her brother.
The world chilled down quickly as winter approached. Bert and Sean were working hard which was bringing in money.
Bert was creating more and more inventions.
Sean had a bit of lack of luck!
Which was quickly solved with a cure elixir he had already prepared. Those were really handful!
The two were getting along just fine. Sean was also looking for someone special, in spite of his lack of time for a romance.
He went to the local bar, but it seems that neither the bartender was interested in him.
Julitta was trying hard to get closer to her friend Alistaire.
Things seemed to get along according to the plan. That was a very intense date. Julitta was delighted, however, she forgot how men are. It was too fast and easy. Alistaire had someone else in mind.
He didn't have a second thought. He left while Julitta was sleeping. In the morning, she was all alone in the hotel.
"Where's he?" She asked herself. She tried to phone him many times but he ignored all her calls. It was time to go home and the first person she met was her brother Sean.
They had a good heart to heart talk. Sean understood his sister and wanted the best for her. He suggested she stopped looking for someone since they had a great support from Robert. "If you were patient", he remarked, "he could become a famous inventor and you would get the life you're looking for."
She chose to be patient. Next time Bert was flirty with her, she let things go.
Bert proved to be a surprising man. The following days were slow and peaceful. Bert and Sean were serious about creating things.
The dogs were getting the most love they could. Everyone was too busy running different errands.
Julitta ended up being invited to another party. Alistaire moved to her old house. That was upsetting. What if she'd dated him, she would've come back to the Bayou!
She met Alistaire's ugly wife and the party was a big mess. She left early with a heart full of hope that she'd chosen the right guy.
That night with Bert had consequences later. Julitta started feeling nauseous.
Spring rains washed the snow away.
As matter of fact, spring meant much more than better weather. Julitta was pregnant and this little one would enlighten their lives!
When Bert heard the news, he felt ecstatic! Way to go!
This officially made them a couple. Would it be a girl or a boy? They were anxious to discover that. Robert wanted a boy but Julitta was into having a girl.
Robert had enough money in his bank account to have a change in his life. He'd heard that Juan Darer was selling Herring Ranch and he had to check it because it was a bargain!
It was in bad state, too. Bert was up to the challenge! Will Julitta like living on a big farm?
