[Travelers] 01-06 Back to Twinbrook

The sun was cutting through the fog and heating everything up when Joe and his family arrived in town. However, before moving, they had called the real state agency to prepare the house for them. Instead of living in that old house in the middle of the lot, they bulldozed that eyesore and rebuilt a home very similar to the one they had in Sunset Valley.

Joe and Avery were delighted to be back. “Anywhere is home as long as we’re together, Joe.” Avery confessed that morning. “Why don’t we go out? We should meet our old friends.”

They went to the main park but ended up in the library. They had a lot to do because Shane’s birthday was near and they wanted to set up something nice for the little one. After all, they had a swimming pool and a nice yard.

Avery finished reading the last children book to Shane. The party started when it was getting dark. They invited a few acquaintances and rented a few chairs and tables. Avery prepared hamburgers and Joe bought the cake.

It would have been perfect if it hadn’t rained... a lot.

Shane and Tristan had to wake up early and get ready for school. “It’s a great day today, little bro. I’m happy I won’t be at school alone anymore.”

In fact, they would never be alone anymore as Avery took them to school in order to apply for a job as a Playground Monitor. Joe could become the new stay-at-home dad and pursue more knowledge in painting while Avery could have a job and keep an eye on the boys.

Joe was relieved when he finally finished the painting he had started when Shane was a little baby. He left the journalism behind and he would get his money as a painter from now on.

As a matter of fact, Joe made more money than Avery.

He could also be a better father. Tristan was always amazed by the stories he read to him. Unfortunately, the boys couldn’t enjoy the swimming pool that much. It was getting cold as autumn was approaching once more, not only the season, but also Tristan’s birthday.

They went to the same club where Joe and Avery got married. They would have enjoyed some cake and the games there, but there was some sort of incident and their night ended at the Bistro.

Tristan wasn’t lucky enough on his third birthday. He also witnessed Pat’s aging. There was something odd in this doll, he was sure about that. Nevertheless, he was happy to have his old friend around.

Kezune’s legacy was getting bigger and bigger. He found the skeleton of an ancestral sim and a stone hydrant. Scientists and archaeologists were really interested in his skill to find so many fossils and special things. Joe let them be jealous, after all, he was his dog and he was proud of him.
